Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 9 am–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Atlanta is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Wish I had read the comments before signing up. I signed up for the New to Tennis class, and once I paid, I didn’t receive any instructions. I showed up 15 minutes early and told the front desk I was there for the class. The desk girl immediately said the class was full and that I couldn’t get in. I said, “OK but I paid, they then said, “Oh…what’s your name..ok. You’re going to be at court 13.” Keep in mind, I’m new. I’ve never been here before, so I didn’t know where to go. The customer service felt poor, inattentive, and unwelcoming. If someone is obviously new, you’d think there’d be a more welcoming approach. The experience rubbed me the wrong way, so I ended up leaving even though I had already paid.

Hard courts are nice- that is where the positives end. Clay courts are unbelievably bad, some of the worst I’ve ever played on in my life. Terribly maintained and some are practically unplayable. There is a sign that says grooming courts after playing is required, but their own employees don’t even follow the rule. There have been several instances where I’m on a court after a lesson, and it’s an absolute mess since the coach/instructor leaves and they don’t bother to clean it. I’ve been overcharged several times and have had to call to get it fixed. It’s only because I catch it in the email receipt. I won’t say it’s deliberate, but interestingly, I’ve never been undercharged. The mistake only seems to ever go in one direction. I’ve been coming here once or twice a week for about 5 years because the hard courts are nice and close by. If you’re here to do anything besides play on the hard courts, consider looking elsewhere. And always carefully examine your receipt.

The staff is incredibly rude. They said it was $18 and then charged us $67 with no receipt or explanation. They are misleading in their advertising. On top of that, the pickleball courts are not real flooring. They should not charge for bad pickleball conditions. It’s a wooden deck. Not a pickleball court. And the net is the wrong size.

Great tennis courts in Atlanta. Ample courts available that are easily bookable — $14/hour for a court rental. You can choose between hard or clay courts. Well maintained. Staffed if you have questions and close bathrooms. Open till 9pm each day for late tennis games.

We started coming here as members of a have community service-based organization called Dream makers finds a third party organization to provide free tennis lessons to special needs kids. My son has autism, and the tutelage and practice he gets in on these courts is remarkable and eye opening! The staff is incredibly friendly. My not being part of the tennis world, I have only one complaint, I wish there was more shade to help the kids keep from getting overheated in the summer months.
